Small Ring – Orange

A small cast glass sculpture by Karin Barr, featuring a translucent orange ring set on a clear glass base, topped with a delicate clear flower-like form. Simple geometric shapes and strong, clean lines come together in a playful composition characteristic of Karin’s work.

Originally from Germany, Karin settled in New Zealand after falling in love with a Kiwi farmer while on her OE. After initially discovering stone carving, she moved into glass casting and now works primarily in glass, sometimes incorporating wood and stone. Her work explores simple forms, playful ideas and the relationships between different shapes and materials.
