Colbalt Blue Grace Sculpture – Greg Swinburne

This is a hand-blown and cold-worked glass sculpture by Whanganui artist Greg Swinburne.

The simple, curved form gives the sculpture a lovely sense of balance, while the cold-worked finish brings out the depth of the glass. And how gorgeous is that rich cobalt blue!

Greg approaches each sculpture from a sculptural rather than functional perspective, with an emphasis on form, line and balance. Inspired by Japanese gardens, ikebana and calligraphy, he hand makes and cold works each piece in his Whanganui studio.
