Blade pendant

Inspired by the stone carving traditions of the Pacific Rim, Greg creates sculptural glass works exploring simple forms, primarily the disc and blade. Each piece is built from layered glass, raw colour, and Italian murrine cane, then hand-carved with diamond tools and finished to a soft matte surface.
Designed to be worn and handled like carved stone, the works gradually absorb the natural oils of the body over time. Minor surface marks can be refreshed with fine wet sandpaper and water.

My approach to jewellery has always been to work with the simple forms. The blade and the disc are my mediums of expression and I try to bring life and interest with my use of the material of glass.
